Description & Inspiration
This artwork is part of a series of 2 paintings, First Lady & Second Lady. It features a woman who feels at the centre of attention and doesn’t know how to feel about it. She doesn’t enjoy it. She wants to find shelter from all of the wandering eyes. Her mixed emotions are represented by the geometric shapes and lines around the painting, to be interpreted as wished. Both pieces are shown together in the additional images below.
